Art Lovers:

Due to the beautiful light Ceret was much beloved by Picasso, Dali and other modernist painters (See The Museum of Modern Art.) Many wonderful painters are still based here, for example, the talented Romer Kitching.

Festivals:

From street art to the Cherry festival, and traditional music and dancing (see Ceret tourist office).

Culture & History:

Within a 30 minute drive are beaches of the Mediterranean. Inland you will find the Pyrenees, monasteries and Cathar castles. Over the Spanish border are Dali's museum and resorts of the Costa Brava such as Llafranc and Roses. Girona and Barcelona are within easy driving distance (or use the TGV).

Nature & Hiking:

For anyone who enjoys hiking or bird-watching, our house is the perfect location, the GR10 running close by.

Cycling

Ceret has been described as an 'undiscovered cycling paradise' (see Dyll Davies' blog "The Ceret Cyclist").

Wine lovers:

We recommend the fabulous wines produced at Domaine Treloar, a short distance away in the hamlet of Trouillas.

Golf

The best local course is Falgos.

Skiing:

For skiers the resorts of Les Angles and Font Romeu are 90 minutes away by car.

Gourmands:

A visit to Ceret isn't complete without at meal at L'Atelier de Fred.

Come and discover this amazing region!
